Supporting Events & Organisations

One of Marsden Swings aims is to be an active part of the community. We like to support community and fundraising events.

Over the years we’ve had the pleasure to play at community events such as Standedge Tunnel Summer Fairs, Friends of Marsden Park events as well as fund raisers such as DASH Refugee Week celebration and a Christmas benefit for Shelter with Unity Voices. Over the last five years we’ve presented a Christmas Lights Switch-on Gig at the Mechanics in Marsden and have raised over £2000 for Shelter.

In addition, in 2025, we’ve played for a Forget Me Not charity fun run event, the Marsden Mountain Rescue open day, the Big Village Film and TV Quiz and as part of a fundraiser for the community cafe at St Bartholomew’s Church at Marsden Jazz Festival.
