What We Play

Although we’re called Marsden SWING, we play songs and tunes from across the musical map.

Here are some examples of what Marsden Swing plays:

• Pop tunes – Smile, Voulez Vous, Ghost Town, You Might Need Somebody, Summer in the City
• Jazz standards – The In Crowd, Cantaloupe Island, The Mountain, Pussy Cat Dues, Haitian Fight Song
• Funk and rock classics – Boogie Wonderland, Oye Como Va, Cold Duck Time, Africano
• TV & Film Themes – Get Carter/Bullit, Starsky & Hutch, Top Cat
• More eclectic fare – Sunny, Molde Canticle, Ken Dodd’s Dads Dog’s Dead

Tunes are requested/suggested by the members of the group. These are arranged by Rod Mason, who also leads the group sessions.
