What We Play

Although we’re called Marsden SWING, we play songs and tunes from across the musical map.

Here are some examples of what Marsden Swing plays:

• Pop tunes – Smile, Heatwave, Ghost Town, House of Fun
• Jazz standards – The In Crowd, Cantaloupe Island, The Mountain, Pussy Cat Dues
• Funk and rock classics – Boogie Wonderland, Sunshine of Your Love, Cold Duck Time
• TV & Film Themes – Get Carter/Bullit, Starsky & Hutch, Live & Let Die
• More eclectic fare – Sunny, Molde Canticle, Ken Dodd’s Dads Dog’s Dead

Tunes are requested/suggested by the members of the group. These are arranged by Rod Mason, who also leads the group sessions.
